Hi
I'd like to ask what the status of support for this card is. Is there
even any driver in the works? I've attached pictures of the card for
clarity. It says its a TechniSat SkyStar2 rev2.8A and the dealer told me
that TechniSat doesn't ship anything other than those anymore.

looks into it
the new card has a new hardware id last 2 digits is 98 not 78
am working with a mate who has a revision 1.1 card
if i change the v4l-dvb haidware id to mine
linux will pick it up and install the driver

I'm using vdr-1.5.12 with Reinhard Nissls h.264 patch and xine.
Just for comparison... Tuning with the TT S2-3200 works for DVB-S and
DVB-S2 channels. The picture quality great, no distortion

This this OT, but I don't really know where to ask. And after all, the

Hi Jelle,
which device device did you buy?
there are 2 different kind of driver available.
There's a patch available on the em28xx mailinglist which I haven't
added to v4l-dvb-experimental yet (I'll go through it tomorrow) to fix
those compatibility issues.

First thing: on a Debian or Ubuntu system, I never needed the full Linux
sources to compile a v4l-dvb tree. The headers were always enough.
Second thing: when you compile a v4l-dvb tree on the side, I do not
think that it is adding anything in the headers.
So, if you subsequently

SR 44948
a9ecd19a37c9 work with SR 44948 ok
but both have trouble, from time to time long wait for lock, from time to time
faster lock... I can't find dependence...
I use vdr-1.5.14+h264 patch,
... But diseqc positioner commands (GotoX from vdr rotor plugin) seem to
not get through with 100% reliability. Changing to use diseqc.conf
seemed to help a bit but I haven't been able to convince the motor to
turn to 28.2E at all.
Did you try changing line 250 in mantis_dvb.c to:
I've got a Hauppauge 1800 with a cx23885 (I think) analog tuner card
in it, I've not seen much progress on that driver for a month or so

With 72e81184fb9f I get lock 5/10 times of the times and with a9ecd19a37c9
9/10 times.
But with 72e81184fb9f I couldn't get neither my rotor nor diseqc switch to work
as
opposed to the tip where both work with some problems - sending more than
2 diseqc messages messes up my rotor.
