Subject: [linux-dvb] Avermedia Avertv A700 DVB-S Pro support
Hi there!
Hi All.
I recently bought an Asus My Cinema U3000 Hybrid, which isn't supported
in the Kernel that comes with Ubuntu or as far as I can tell the current
HG repository[1]. I found a patch for the U3000 Mini floating around
Ubuntu's bug tracking[2], that looks very trivial - so I tried something
Hi I have a Hauppage nova-td USB stick and I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy,
Kernel 2.6.22-14. I cannot seem to discover any channels when scanning.
When I use the nove-td USB stick on a Windows PC (same cable and
connection to roof antenna), I can pick up and watch about 65 channels!
I downloaded
Hi all,
Ok, I need to be really stuipd here, but maybe someone can help me. I've got
my HVR-4000 working with MythTV and the basic DVB-S channels, but I keep
reading threads about DVB-S2 working with this patch, that diff, and szapped
the other. However, I'm now COMPLETLY lost!

I don't know if my experience with a nova-t stick can help,
but... I found similar problems with that stick (as far as I know, the
nova-td is like two nova-t in the same stick), my problems where:

Jose,
Thanks for the quick response. Another reader Olivier suggested that I plug in
both antennas since the Windows drivers were probably using diversity or
something on the main receiver.
I attached one of the mini-antennas to the side connector and it seems
to have picked up a few
IIRC, on my TD stick the first tuner is the connector on the side of the
stick, the one thats need the tiny adaptor.
The TD doesn´t have an onboard amp so the LNA parameter does nothing.

Those are usually bad.
The only place where an amplifier helps is right on the antenna itself,
where it amplifies the signal, not the signal AND all the noise inserted

Nicolas,
Thanks, it makes sense what you say that an amplifier is best closest to the
antenna otherwise it will amplify both the signal and noise.
My antenna is already split once with an F-type splitter

hello
How I can make diff from changeset X1 to changeset X2?
Without parameters hg diff shows only changes done after latest commit.

Hi all,
all of you have either contacted me directly or written an email to the

All I can say is, I started some time ago with porting the itd1000-driver
to linux-dvb and stopped after having some troubles which lead to
rebooting the PC each time

Hi all,
As previously mentioned, I have had some success with scan and tzap
utilities with the MSI TV Anywhere A/D V1.1.
Just now I have also had it working under MythTV. The secret here seems
to be card=109 with Firmware 29 and Kernel 2.6.23.13.
I wouldn't say it's rock solid as sometimes
Steve,
Is there anything that can be done now to progress the dev of this driver
and the facilities of this card? I remember clearly the disagreements that
occured, and it was hugely depressing. What would be needed now to encorage
development?
