You need to compile and load budget_ci in order for the card to be recognized. Ah yes, loading the buget_ci module made everything work properly now - I didn't even seem to need the budget module, but I never thought of using budget_ci seeing as my card doesn't have a CI interface. Perhaps

[linux-dvb] How to load tda1004x firmware in Linux 2.6

Hi everyone, I've been tearing my hair out over this for about six hours now, trying to figure out why I can't get my Nova-t card working with kernel 2.6.6. It worked fine under 2.4.22, but a lot has changed since then and I can't find any docs about how to get this going under 2.6. I compiled

Hi everyone, I've just moved one of my DVB cards into a new server, but I can't for the life of me figure out how you're supposed to actually *do* anything with the card nowadays. My old server was installed a few years back, and I was using a program called dvbrecord which was being run from

Try dvbstream from dvbtools . Ah, I've been using dvbstream to watch live TV, but I didn't realise the latest version has support for writing to a file. How does it cope with files 2GB? dvbrecord doesn't like those (I have to record to stdout and then redirect it to a file.) dvbstream -ps

Hi everyone, I've just installed a new DViCO FusionHDTV dual digital 4 (which appears to the PC as two USB Zarlink ZL10353 DVB-T devices.) I'm trying to set up dvbstream to send the whole transport stream across the network to another PC, but I can't get this to work. If I do something like

Hi everyone, I'm currently setting up a new server that will (among other things) record TV shows for me. In the past I've used cron to schedule recording jobs, and I've used dvbrecord to do the actual recording. This set up has served me well for many years, but unfortunately dvbrecord doesn't

with the same drivers and a different version of dvbstream? In any case you should always try a fresh cvs checkout of dvbstream. A simple test you should run is this: dvbstream -f 226500 -gi 16 -bw 7 -o 8192 dump.ts and try to play the dump.ts from another terminal. If you see corruptions

Hi again, Thanks for all the replies! I've checked out a few programs and decided to use dvbstream as Tim Hewett suggested. Obviously, you seem to have never actually tried VDR. It's extremely lean and clean and it don't need to run with any output. You can telnet into it and schedule
