Hi all,
I'm trying to write a disk based HBcomm plug-in for heartbeat.
My current implementation is:
write:
write to it's own slot
sleep 0.2s
read:
scan all slots for new pkt
if (found) {
do {
read the slot

Hello,
Last nights Alan's odd collection of machines, which, for some
reason, he calls lab cluster, ran CTS. It was rather successful.
My very symmetrical 3-node xen cluster also showed similar
results.
There were two problems encountered:
- failed resource audits, always during the NearQuorum

It looks like we could release soon.
Anybody else wants to run a CTS? Now is the time if you have a
cluster to fiddle with.
Which options do you think would be most helpful? How are you invoking
CTS?
It might be useful to

the problem is that the cib is synchronized between nodes that may or
may not have the same version. but yes, it is something i've been
mulling over
it still doesn't address the issue of logs or overly brief problem
descriptions but would be better than nothing

Andrew, this is such a common issue (people not giving us version...),
is there any way we could include the hb version in the cib? We aready
have cib_feature_revision, but maybe we should have
heartbeat_version as well?
Feedback anyone?

The best way to do that is to active the X forwarding in your SSH session.
Then you'll just have to install xming (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xming ) and you'll be able to run your hbgui
in your ssh session..
You just have to setup your Xforward!

Hi there,
I've got heartbeat 2.0.8 on two servers connected with public IPs.
When I start Heartbeat on either of them it starts and then ends a few
seconds later. I think the problem is where it says Unable to bind
socket (Address already in use). Giving up. Anyone have any idea
what this
Yes, I thought about this, but haven't you already solved the problem
somehow with the cib_feature_revision ? Supposedly, that at well could
differ between nodes?
In any case, maybe the version should be attached to the node anyway,
and we'd get the added benefit to easily be able to spot
ha.cf + output of ifconfig + output of ndsdstat -ntlp from both nodes
please?

Thank you for your reply René,
The solution you offered needs to have an x-window system running on the
machine you want to connect to, I guess. The problem is none of our servers
has x-window running for security reasons.
So what we need is a way to connect to the management daemon from a
