http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9904 --- Comment #2 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-02-14 08:02 --- Joseph, please send output of 'hdparm --Istdout /dev/hdd' command. James, you are using different host driver so most likely this is not the same bug - please open a new bugzilla entry and post dmesg command output. Thanks. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ide" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html

The motherboard an ASUS Striker Extreme, which has an NVIDIA (nForce?) IDE controller so the bug doesn't appear to be hardware-specific. This is a new machine so I haven't tried any earlier kernel versions.
