send mail problems

hi, i setted up send mail with default configuration from mandrake 7 release. the mail works fine but there is small problem.. when users try to pull mail its not working so i did telnet to port 110 and what i get is: trying to connect xx.xx.xx.xx... when i do it from localhost it works fine.

Hello! I don't know why it happens, but people don't distinguish between SMTP to POP3. Sendmail is SMTP . it's used for sending and receiving mail to and from the _MAIL SERVER_. Remote users can TAKE their mail remotely using pop3, which is a completely different thing. That's indeed the port
