HI all,
I am writing a grant part of which includes the programming of a web

The technologies used are:
xml
mysql
python
lilypond
musicxml
graphics
This will be deployed both as intranets and over the web.
I need a price quote for this in the near future.
If anyone on the does
i am thinking about putting ubuntu on my old vaio.
because of my visual limitations,
i need to know what its boot sequence looks
like _in advance_.
does it have a text-only one-color
option similar to RH 'serial' ?
many thanks !
dorit
Dorit, The Ubuntu installer is actually Debian Installer.
It is text based.
If you're talking about braille integration - I don't know about it.
Max.

Hi all,
If a process creates threads, then the main thread dies, I can't
see the other threads anymore with ps. I also do not see them with
'ls -l /proc'. If I do know the pid (tid actually), and do
ls -l /proc/tid, I do see it.
Is this intended, or a bug? In 2.4 I always see all of the threads.

A few of us are about to run a server in ActCom's server farm, for the

We doubt we will add many more people, as we all want to be friends or
friends by proxy, but there are a couple of seats left and I am sure
most people here answer that definition.
Hi.
Does anyone have any experience with installing an Orange third
generation modem on linux?
Thanks,
Gadi.
