remote debugging using gdbserver

I have no idea how much this can help you but with Ubuntu (currently 0.8 on Karmic) in Australia I could just connect an E71 to the USB port and it automatically found it as a modem and allowed me to pick which of the mobile carriers is the one I'm with and that's it. After that it appears as one
