bluetooth and web camera sometimes are on the usb bus. try lsusb and see if
it appears.

As promised, here is my report on the Asus 1005PG from Orange:
I am now writing this report on it.
The first thing I did was to boot Ubunu Lucid
My Mustek 1200 UB died and I'm looking for a linux friendly scanner.
The old one worked out-of-the-box in various versions of Mandriva and I hope
to find something just as good.
My criteria:
- cheap
- works with Linux (obviously)
- good quality scans (good is fine - doesn't have to be
All HP (and most others) scanners are working fine with Linux and
sane-backend.

I'm having a multifunction printer Canon Pixma MP140, and was very
surprised to find out that it works out of the box in Ubuntu 10.04
with the simple scan utility.

look at multifunction printers because I don't print much and the ink dries
