(dynamically connected). They can be put directly into a presentation if
needed.

You reminded me of xfig. I haven't used it in years but I seem to remember
that I very quickly was able to learn enough to make very good drawings.

You can try OpenOffice Draw. It is part of the OpenOffice suite. It is

Check out "dia". It is reasonably Hebrew-friendly as well.
