I have a little offtopic question: I've installed xemacs from RH RPM
(xemacs-21.1.2-1, xemacs-packages-el-19990513-1) and html mode doesn't
work! It's a bit stragne, why a basic mode doesn't work, but I'm neither
Lisp, not Xemacs specialist, so maybe someone will help me.

anybody know, how can I get network configuration prog from rh or
debian install. I need only this part which configure ip address,netmask,
gateway. Or may exist another tool suitable for novices to reconfigure
net.

For redhat you can use netcfg tool

OG I cannot guarantee that I will be able to solve the problem, and

Thanks for your involvement, I've found the root of the trouble - the
RedHat package (it's not in fact RH's - from their ContribNet) had no
DTD's in the psgml package.
if we're at it - here is a puzzling question:
the incremental search in (x)emacs is case-insensitive by default, as it
seems. now, how does make it become case-sensitive? or otherwise how
does one make a case-snsitive search in (x)emacs? this little "feature"

My crontab has SHELL=/bin/sh (SuSE 6.1) so as long as /bin/sh
exists, no problem!
I do NOT use a HOME=/ (or HOME= at all on my personal box)
