From some contact I had with the cable companies I know that:
1. All of them are in the progress of switching to some sort of dialup
connection - Over cable it will be pptp or l2tp.
2. The dialup connection has not been done in any way to help the customers.

Btw, some of them moved from pptp to l2tp since it is lighter protocol and
the equipment is chipper.

Hi,
-The two eth0 appear since the first one is for the network attached to the
eth0 and the second one is for the default router.
-I forgot to mention that station C could ping all the stations including
the Linux router.
-About the local looping, well it seems to work fine...
