Using Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) with plain gnome desktop. When I switch to
text only console using the CtrlAltFx keys I can't travel back to
X11 mode using CtrlAltF7 or switch to any other virtual console.
I use in my ~/.bashrc the command:
setxkbmap -option
