Sorry for posting this message to the list, but i don't know what's happenning. Since two weeks ago i haven't recieved any mail from the list. I tried to resubscribe again, but i received no response, so i have to use web archives to access the list. Anybody know what the problem is? David

Hi all, How it's the support of ATA100 in the linux kernel? Do I need to use 2.4 to get full speed or is enough to configure the drive with hdparm? When i use hdparm several modes supported appear. Is udma5 equivalent to the standard ATA100 ? And sorry if my questions are maybe too simple for

Hi all, System: kernel 2.4.1 util-linux-2.10r cdrecord-1.9 modutils-2.3.21 I have a cd writer and a cdrom in the same pc. When the kernel has SCSI support compiled as a module, cdrecord doesn't find anything (hdb=ide-scsi is passed with lilo). When is compiled with built-in scsi support, the
