Why is it that 2.2.x UFS write support is considered (experimental)?

2.2.16, migrated FreeBSD to Linux on production system this weekend.
Dreamed that I just leave ufs there without copying the stuff.

Looks like I'm taking care of the UFS for a while. Yes, 2.4 is currently
broken. I'll post the patch when it will get anywhere near the beta -

In order to mount it under Linux I use following command:
mount /dev/fd0 /mnt -t ufs -o ufstype=44bsd,ro
Under Linux 2.2.12-20 the floppy mounts fine and I can can see files
there and write new files.
