because
the X server and the fb are separated.
We might as well support EGA, HGC or CGA(??) cards for it; switching to
a sane mode isn't that difficult (as discussed earlier, and for HGC I
have some NASM sources), and IIRC there is a HGC framebuffe
f it goes all wrong, just copy all the stuff from NTFS over
network
to your home PC (linux boot floppy, NTFS r/o mount), use a windoze boot
floppy
to create FAT32 partitions, get a FAT32 NT boot sector from somewhere
(or use
the Recovery Console which I find great) and copy it back over network.

I didnt look further but IMO it must be PARTITIONED???
(I'd start the partition at +1 rather than +0x27)
No, the directory is not on the disk, and I've been DEBUG.COMing
FAT drives since I was 9 years old.

Btw, the root dir contains 512 entries.
Just from the dump.
(I would let the partition start at sector ptabl+1, not wasting
so much space... but M$ fdisk.exe neither does.)

Please re

A message of love and openness: translate linux into Latin!
It has strict grammar, no such problems, and a single
person on top - the pope, actually. We could replace
his function by Linus ;-) or Alan... dunno

I'm not the only one. I prefer telnet but its cut is broken, so
I can't reply. But OjE shows no extra headers for me, just they go
through
the 31kbps phone line :(
