I have a geniatech hdstar device with ubuntu gnome 13.10x64 kernel 3.11
My setup is two sats on disecq switch
turksat s42e : lnb1
hellassat s39e : lnb2
I can't scan channels with scan-s2,dvbscan,w_scan,dvbv5-scan
sometimes device can lock on transporder but can't get channel information

I have a su3000 dvb-s2 usb device it's supported by linux, device also
require dvb-fe-su3000.fw firmware to work but it can work with
dvbsky's firmware it's name was dvb-fe-ds300x.fw
What is the difference between dvb-fe-ds3000.fw and dvb-fe-ds300x.fw
is there any own version number on
with conexant cx24109/cx24123
can be added to the code with video grabber support

it's dvb-s device and it has tm6000 chip with cx24123/cx24109
tm6000 module only has dvb-t/analog support
dvb-s feature to support in future will be or only just to be dvb-t part
