Just a remark for anyone else interested with a hybrid device that
there now is a specific utility dvb-fe-tool as I discovered to be part
of the next release of the v4l-utils package to set the delivery
system type fx dvb-c or dvb-t. I'm having it called from
/etc/rc.d/rc.local to have the type
I just got a kernel update that doesn't work for my PCTV 290e's so I
pulled and build the media_build tree and got the below errors which I
also got a week ago when I did the same after the previous kernel
update and I'm just reporting this without knowing how often errors
are fixed or for help if
I have two 290e's - one for dvb-c and one for dvb-t - on the same computer
running F16, Kaffeine and latest media files
and I see lots of lines in /var/log/messages like this

and fewer like this

yesterdays auto update to kernel 3.1.1-1.fc16.i686.PAE on Fedora 16.
