Go to this web site and see if the PBM to PPA converter helps. It is a dowwnload file that is supposed to fix the HP printer problem. To get to the file, scroll down to the fourth paragraph, then click on the hypertexted *programs* - it will take you to the file I am speaking of. Regards,

If root cannot execute the "insmod" command, you have a bigger problem than printing. How is your system adding *any* modules to the kernel without this command? This would (probably) cause Lawson's suggestions to fail as well as mine. So ... how about checking a couple of things? 1. see what
