SuSE 6.4 X-Config Resolution

2000-06-17 Thread Jerry Chimutanda

I tried to change the resolution from 16 to 24, using the KDE control
panel. Now when I shut down and reboot the machine later, I can't get into
X. The screen (tty7) just hangs without a message. I can still logon on the
other text based ttys.

What is the file that I have to modify to change back to 16 mode (800x600)?

Thank you fro your help

/etc/XF86Config is one place where it can reside, it could be in /etc/X11
I dont know the exact location of SuSe.

The changes need to be under
Section "Screen"
for the video card in use.
