After you install sblim-cim-client, you should be able to continue with yum
update -y command.

This is killing me as I can't find a work around with uninstalling OMSA,
updating the system, and then reinstalling OMSA. Ideas?
# yum update -y

Any reason why you couldn't just run something like:
dmidecode|grep -i poweredge
...as a test? This is what I user for cfengine:
#!/bin/bash
/usr/sbin/dmidecode 2/dev/null | /bin/grep -iq poweredge echo
+dell_server

For some reason NRPE and the nagios user running under NRPE do not pick
that up. Even after a restart of the service. The only thing I've found
to fix NRPE based Dell checks is:
ln -s /opt/dell/srvadmin/bin/* /usr/bin/
Using su - nagios to become the nagios user does not present this
problem.
Interesting... I have that package and I still have the problem on some
machines.
# rpm -q|grep srvadmin-storelib
rpmq: no arguments given for query
# rpm -q srvadmin-storelib
srvadmin-storelib-6.2.0-1.11.el3
# omreport storage vdisk
List of Virtual Disks on Controller (Slot )
# omreport
Non of our servers can now see the storage elements:
# srvadmin-services.sh status
dell_rbu (module) is running
ipmi driver is running
dsm_sa_datamgrd (pid 23010) is running
dsm_sa_eventmgrd (pid 23122) is running
dsm_sa_snmpd (pid 23181) is running
dsm_om_shrsvcd (pid 23256) is running
sure everything is stopped:
- srvadmin-services.sh status
- lsmod | grep ipmi
* Restart haldaemon
- service haldaemon start
* Restart OMSA
- srvadmin-services.sh start
...worked on one machine so far. Trying more.
