2006-03-31 Thread Michael J. Kidd
Hello all, I have an Averatec C3500 Convertible Tablet PC. With the initial bios version that ships with the unit, USB and PCMCIA both work fine in linux. However, there is a terrible keyboard lag and dropped keys. The follow-on bios revisions fixed the keyboard issues, but caused USB and

[linux-usb-devel] [PATCH] driver core: safely unbind drivers for devices not on a bus

2006-03-31 Thread Alan Stern
Greg: This patch (as667) changes the __device_release_driver() routine to prevent it from crashing when it runs across a device not on any bus. This seems logical, inasmuch as the corresponding bus_add_device() routine has an explicit check allowing it to accept such devices. Alan Stern Si

[linux-usb-devel] [PATCH] g_file_storage: use module_param_array_named macro

2006-03-31 Thread Alan Stern
Greg: Randy Dunlap pointed out that there now is a module_param_array_named macro available. This patch (as666) updates g_file_storage to make use of it. It also adds a comment listing the specifications documents used in the design of the driver's SCSI operation (at Pat LaVarre's request). Ala
