Hello!

I'm trying to develop a driver for my own serial2usb-converter. At the moment I'm stuck with a problem using the generic usbserial driver (and thus any driver that's based on it). When I insmod usbserial with my vendor/productid combination it recognizes it, but when I do cat /dev/ttyUSB0 and abort it with ^C my computer crashes blinking the CAPSLOCK and NUMLOCK lights. How can I debug this? I'm running kernel 2.4.19. I can't store any information in the USB-device's memory as it's firmware is in ram and gets lost at every reboot.
