Looking at the hid_input.c code, the point of view hat on a joystick is forced to be axis U and V always. This is rather unfortunate, since many games (like Unreal Tournement) won't let you bind commands to an axis, thus preventing you from using the hat to switch weapons (as is my preferred way to do things).
Ideally, the decision to map the hat to axis or to button events should be configurable via a module parameter or IOCTL (that would be persistant across driver file opens.) Is any body else working on something like this? If not, would anybody object to me doing so? ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
