Here's what's happening that causes me to send all these patches.
Unfortunately, the root problem still isn't resolved.
The target system has a Ricoh 475 (or 485, doesn't matter) PC Card bridge.
Plugged into that is a Vodafone GSM card which uses an OHCI chip,
