usb-storage tries, as much as possible, to be a "pass-thru" driver. We try
to alter the data as little as possible in transit.
We only report multiple LUNs for devices which tell us they have multiple
LUNs.

logical drive it sees instead of putting them on separate LUNs on the
same device?
