When plugging in an Epson C62 USB 1.1 printer to my nForce 2 OHCI + EHCI USB
controllers, the IRQ doesn't seem to get handled [1]. Tried both with
acpi=noirq and without, printer support and full USB support enabled. Kernel
is 2.6.9.
Any ideas?

When plugging a Motorola SurfBoard 5100 device into my box, khubd oopses.
Kernel is stock linux-2.6.5.
Chipset is nForce 2 (OHCI), USB 2 EHCI controller disabled, so just USB 1.1
controller active.
Please CC me if more information would be handy.
Harvested from kernel logs:

When I started a test print job, on my SiS OHCI USB controller system, I ran
into problems. Let me know if any further information is needed - this
kernel includes Greg's recent updates I believe (from Neukum, Bellucci, Brownell,
Stern).
Kernel is 2.6.0-test2-bk5.

When printing a test page on an Epson C62 through an unpowered USB 1.1 hub,
the printer printed part of the page, then stopped.
The 'error -110' messages were being sent to the syslogs, and after pulling
the connector to the USB hub, the system locked up.

When I unplug a USB hub from the root hub, I see this often. I'm on a SiS
OHCI USB controller.
Let me know if I can provide further information, and please CC me, as I'm
not on the list.
Many thanks,

Oliver,
Thanks for your response. This is consistently reproducible and the printer
will get to ~20% down the first page before stopping. Just when or after it
stops printing, I observed the system time jump to 61% [2], then some
polling/logging going on, until I turn the printer off or disconnect

Thanks!

Thanks Oliver - I can confirm this patch does fix printing...excellent!
Here are the log messages, in case they're of any use. This is worth getting
into linux-2.4.22-pre/rc, I think.
Many thanks,
Daniel
