I have a problem with my Acer 4406U A.EZ external cdrw drive. I use cdrecord 1.11.a04 with kernel 2.4.17. This error is recent though, previous kernels used to work flawlessly. I already had the drive replaced by Acer (same error as before). When I try to burn anything I get this error: --snip-

Hi, I have also this problem when I try to write to an ASUS 4406U external CDR drive When I run cdrecord -scanbus I get: "usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout" and "USB device not accepting new address=x (error=-110)" and after a while, scsi_eh_0 stack dumps. I tried with an Asus K7M and Abit Kt7
