PROBLEM: flaky access to compact flash cards
SYMPTOMS: when reading card under either of two different USB2 card
readers, get intermittent scsi errors. Card reads fine under USB1.1 reader.
KERNEL: 2.6.12.1

I've been using lexar cards with the jumpshot reader for some time.
