I just switched from a PS/2 keyboard to a USB keyboard. My system runs Mandrake 9.0beta4, kernel 2.4.19.
When the system boots, the keyboard is noticed but no drivers make use of the keyboard - its dead. Until I unplug and plug it back in - then it works fine. Here are the kernel messages during bootup: Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xd0951000, IRQ 11 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb-ohci.c: usb-00:02.3, Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 7001 (#2) Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: USB hub found Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: 3 ports detected Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:02.2 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xd0953000, IRQ 11 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb-ohci.c: usb-00:02.2, Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 7001 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 2 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: USB hub found Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: 3 ports detected Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usbdevfs: remount parameter error Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 2 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: eth0: Media Link On 10mbps half-duplex Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: USB hub found Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: 4 ports detected Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1/1, assigned device number 3 Sep 7 08:01:24 anakin kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x45e/0x1d) is not claimed by any active driver.
