For some strange reason OpenOffice's most handy tool cannot be found in the menu heirarchy! (Leastways I couldn't, I'd be glad to be proven wrong)
It's the little "Gold Star" icon on the toolbar and it called the "Navigator". Sort of like a "Outline" mode. It displays a tree structure of your documents sections and allows you to raise and lower the chapter levels, move chapters up or down in the doc. etc. etc. Very very handy.
