Our server is Cobalt raq4r.Last few days I am noticing that sometimes
the process under httpd is being killed. And the process becoming *zombie*. I
checked all the cron jobs but did not find any clue which is to be the cause of
httpd *zombie* process.

Have you bothered to check the apache error log? Random cronjobs
shouldn't normally have any connection to other processes becoming
zombies. Which version of apache are you running? Which kernel version
are you using?
