Writing Knoppix v 3.1 with 700MB CD

Greets list... I've been trying to ftp the Knoppix iso for a while, but I've always managed to get into a corrupt FTP session. I've put off writing this iso for while until I had some time. I've got some time now, and I'm a bit curious, does one mount the iso volume and strip software off
