Normally I use opera as my browser of choice but in the last month or so
telstra have started rejecting my logins.
Tonight after half an hour waiting for them to answer the phone and then
talking to them for ages I found that firefox was recognised without

There are still sites that do this? And they aren't just archives of

Can be worse. Some sites censor based on the OS you're coming from too,
not only the browser.
On the national linux list (NZLUG) a poster mentioned POLi (Pay Online)
used by Air New Zealand - and probably other sites - that on their site
