Indeed, you were missing the patch, as I did some times ago ;O)
On my side the best I got was:
- seeing 6LowPan frame sent from my interface, using a sniffer on my media.
- seeing Rx'ed 6Lowpan frames (sent by a Contiki IPV6/RPL device on my media)
more or less decoded by the 6Low
