Hi,
I'm a very satisfied PFSense User for a very long time, but I'm running
into a problem that I can not fix, even after a long time of searching.
To get a real IPv4-Address to my home with only a DSLite connection. I'm
using PFSense with OpenVPN via UDP6 to transport a real IP-Address from

Hi all,
I run a pfSense Firewall at home for a very long time. First with a
Alix-Board, now with a ATOM based system. I really like it very much.
I just moved to a new house and the only fast Internet connection is via
my local cabel provider (Unitymedia). They only offer DSLite, but I have

Hi,
I just upgrade my home FW from a Alix-Box to a Atom-based Firewall.
I downloaded the hole config.xml(with rrd) from my old firewall, changed
the interfaces from vr* to em* and restored the config to the new
Firewall. After the reboot to activate the new config, I did a web based
update from
Hi again,

I have to increase /tmp and /var by to have the upgrade run to

Hi,
I just tried it on an VMware based NanoBSD Version and it allways
happens and it is not Memory based, because the VM has 1GB.
I'm not a FreeBSD expert, but /dev/md's are MemDiscs right?
Is there a reason why only 60MB (/var) and 40MB(/tmp/) are used?
and are where are possibilities to change
Hi,
My questions:
Has anyone successfully updated a PFSense on an Alix board with 10 or
more interfaces (2 phy, 8 VLANs, 1 WAN).
Or is running a PFSense 2.1 setup like this successfully?
Reason:
I just upgrade my home firewall from PFSense 2.0.3 to 2.1 (Nano 2G
Serial) running on a Alix board.
Hi,
you where right. It was/is kind of a traffic problem. I just did the
test with one cable and the interrupt load was already at 60-80%.
Twice that will of course kill the box.
Thanks for the fast help.

Hi,
thanks a lot for the confirmation. And special thanks to Jim. Your doc
is what I'm using at the moment.
On an similar notion.
PFSense 2.0 does not support IKEv2.
Correct?
I will need Shrew and can't use native Windows7 IPSec Client?
