[pfSense] verizon USB data modem
I see on the supported USB 3g/4g modem list that there is the Pantech UML290. VZ currently sells the UML295. Has anyone had luck with the latter? It is so difficult to determine the actual internal hardware to see if there's that much difference. The scant information I can find on the net indicate they both use the same qualcomm chip, but somehow require different drivers for some home routers. Also, I thought maybe I could hook up an old iPhone in tethering mode but alas, these show up as ugen device instead of an ipheth device. Any thoughts on including the ipheth driver in the future? It would have to be the one from FreeBSD 8.4 back-patched, I suspect, so it has the latest devices. ___ List mailing list List@lists.pfsense.org http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list
[pfSense] Captive Portal questions - Interstitial page
Can I have the interstitial page go straight to a website to handle everything? Rather than locally handled on the system? I am activating this feature at a bar where I do tech work and would prefer to manage everything back on our website rather than trying to maintain code on the controller. TIA. — Ryan ___ List mailing list List@lists.pfsense.org http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list

[pfSense] no internet access on vlan
Hi, i have 3 vlan's on my LAN interface. 2 of them working nicely. With the third i got trouble. I can access local network devices, but i cannot access internet. traceroute stops at 192.168.4.1 (vlan3 if address). default allow everything to any rule is added, dns forwarder listens on that ip (dns resolution works). Firewall logs don't show anything. pfSense 2.1 also was rebooted. What could be wrong with my setup? regards Juergen ___ List mailing list List@lists.pfsense.org http://lists.pfsense.org/mailman/listinfo/list
Re: [pfSense] no internet access on vlan
When I set mine up they were pretty straight-forward, I didn’t have to do much inside of pfSense to get it going. So my thought is this: Is your switch configured correctly for VLAN3? Re: [pfSense] no internet access on vlan
yep, i think so. all the needed ports have the right tags, also vlan 2 also used on the same ports, just works. switch operates in layer 2 mode. btw, dhcp runs on pfsense and all the devices are in the right ip range for vlan3 Am 28.02.2014 07:33, schrieb Ryan Coleman: When I set mine up they were pretty straight-forward, I didn’t have to do much inside of pfSense to get it going. Re: [pfSense] no internet access on vlan
I’ll have to see if I can get into my remote site tomorrow that I have set up with three VLANs (a bar with three SSIDs). If I have anything - and you don’t find a solution before then (could be Saturday when I’ll be on site) - I’ll get back to you. On Feb 28, 2014, at 12:36 AM, J.
