I'm not a developer but I would think it's dependent on FreeBSD releasing the update, plus testing by pfSense/Netgate. Dear, I have updated Squid on pfSense to 0.4.42_1 version on pfSense 2.4.2-RELEASE-p1 (amd64). But after start the service togeteher with squidGuard, Squid crashes.
