Unh. Try these:

Apologies.
Actually, the reason that you can't see the text in any other browser is
due to the use of a drop shadow - something else that only Safari and
its siblings renders.

Hi,
I got this idea from the 'Wow, if only everyone did this' conversation.
Swift seems to be the only Windows browser with a webkit, making it an
idea to test websites for mac-compatibility if you don't have a mac.

I have a couple of problems with Safari which can be seen on this page:

The first is the misalignment of the bg-images that I'm using for bullets.
Every other browser including IE5 displays them how I want them except for
Safari. I did a
by Safari.
I have the Swift_0.1.msi installer if anyone wants it. It's got a
terrible user interface, but it will at least render the pages
reasonably well. Compare for yourself:
http://lachy.id.au/lib/images/2006/swift-multibg-image-20061010
http://lachy.id.au/lib/images/2006/safari-multibg
That would appear to be a completely different beast, despite the
similarity of name.
When I tried the Safari-based Swift a month or so ago, I was able to
install it okay, but there seemed to be no way to configure a proxy,
which made it completely useless.

I've already done that though. The space between the two states is about 5
times the height of the actual bullet. In Safari you can actually seem the
on state appearing above the off state even though it's about 40px below
it in the image file and bg-repeat is set to no-repeat.

Felix, I would like a copy of the msi.
It was I, not Felix, who has it. I received a couple of requests for
it, so I put it up online.

Hi there.
I'm looking to adopt a drop-down menu theme on my site. I've got most of it
sorted, but there's still a few teething problems.
If you look at www.camieabz.co.uk for an example of the existing navigation
tabs first (no drop-down).
The testsite link is

do you think that enclosing the drop down in a table has anything to do

Using JavaScript? If it is present in the DOM, you can access it.

Right. Decided to solve it all a better way (I think).
I've installed IE7, Firefox and Opera and will redesign to meet their
requirements. IE versions prior to 7 get second place now.
Thanks though. I changed things as you said, but I saw how it reacted with
Opera and decided it needed

I ended up doing this as per the example in your link with the extra white
space below (as well as in between) and now it's fine. Thanks.
Any ideas on the height of the input problem?
