I filed a bug on the gentoo bug tracker and it is being worked on to get
the version bumped from 0.4.15 to 1.0 in gentoo

Ok currently trying to get hold of the gentoo maintainer and see if
potentially we can put together an overlay, which is in otherwords
equivalent to a debian ppa where you have the latest ebuild info to try.
