Problem is, the vocoder needs TWO input signals [1] to do something
useful, which doesn't fit into the way LMMS handles plugins. In pr

Saw waves are usually best since they contain the most harmonic frequencies.

Thanks for the useful info. The left/right is just fine for now. I
grabbed a free VST vocoder and managed to achieve functionality, thank you.

It does not work. Reason: The ports are labeled incorrect (must start with
"In" or "Out"). However, even if you re-label them correctly, the ef

A bit off topic but the community has requested a few times now for a
dubstep category for the LSP.
Are categories easy to add? Is this category a possibility?
I'm probably not qualified to manage genres (I simply can't keep up with
the electronic sub-genres) but it does seem that with the popul
Yes they will be easy to add :) the administrative back end with this fame
work makes it super easy to do :) Once one has all the fields they want in
the DB then you can add what ever you want in terms of categories.

Would it be possible to add a pulldown input list for effects that was
dynamically based off feeds coming into the effect, and available inputs
for the effect? That way on instruments you would have a single feed, but
could direct it to multiple inputs of the effect, and on the FX mixer it
would sh

What I was thinking was a multi-select box that could exist above or below
the controls button for an effect. Here is are some ascii examples of how
the pull down list might function.
x = selected
o = unselected
---Example 1 (instrument or FX-Mixer with a single source feed) ---

As an extension of this idea any additional effects should default to the
parent effect as their initial source, but it would also be kind of cool if
we could route around a previous effect for a quad+ input effect so we
could use a previous source as an alternate input. So for example in the

At least for ZynAddSubFX, I am very sure that the knob is logarithmic, because
turning it half way down is very hearable, while doing this for the LADSPA

In regards to knob controls, from a user perspective it depends on the
function.
Most DAWs deal with volume using db, so having the value increase at a
usable and functional scale would be fine. It may take some getting used
to, but it will be a well justified adjustment. People can always doub
