Appender, just something that let's a user call

Or maybe an Android Log Appender, just something that let's a user call log4j
APIs but ends up in the Andriod log system. Would folks want that?

When you say backend it sounds like it's possible to swap in our own
implementation, but the android.util.Log class seems to have only static
methods. I didn't see a way to provide a custom implementation. Did I miss
something?
