I have two instances of log4j running on the same UNIX server. Every once
in a while log messages from one instance will appear in the other. Has
anyone seen this before? Any ideas on why this could happen?
Here are the config files:

log4j.appender.A1=org.apache.log4j.DailyRollingFil

I am trying to use the DailyRollingFileAppender in an asynchronous way.
When executing the DOMConfigurator::configure(String filename) I am getting
the following error:
log4j:ERROR Parsing error on line 15 and column 12
log4j:ERROR The content of element type "appender" must match

Where can I find guidelines for setting up a log4j.dtd? Or is there a
default one available?

My J2EE application is experiencing significant slow down when logging is
turned on. I would like to have the logging occur on it's own thread. I
am not very familiar with this concept. Can the ThreadGroupRender be used
to achieve this? Or should I extend the Thread class?

I found alot of things about how to get the DailyRollingFileAppender to
roll at a scheduled time instead of when a record is written. The problem
that I am having is that the rollover is not happening when a record is
written after the date changes.

My java application running on AIX uses the DailyRollingFileAppender.
Every so often, the roll-over does not occur at midnight, but later.
Perhaps even a day later. Has anyone experienced this problem?
