You can't complain too much because it's open source and the
contributors don't get paid for it! If you want a more comprehensive
manual, pitch in and write it yourself, or buy the commercial manual!

Did the updated version of logweb ever come out?
The web site appears to be out of date and unmaintained.

Another alternative is the Simple Logging Facade for java, which fulfills the
same role as Jakarta Commons Logging but is even simpler and gets around some
tricky class loading issues that can occur in some configurations with JCL. I
