look like:
log4j.rootLogger=debug, stdout
log4j.logger.com.myproject=info
As you can see the logger for the package com.myproject only has info
behind it. If you would say log4j.logger.com.myproject=info, stdout then

I don't use a properties file to config so I'm not 100% sure but that
is a common thing so a little search should turn up the answer.

Also, it appears that you haven't attached the appender to any logger.
