as Nicholas pointed out (thanks, I didn't see it!) there is already an open
Jira ticket for this issue so I'm not goint to file a new one and I will wait
for news.

I'm using version Log4j version 2.0-beta6 on OpenJDK version "1.7.0_25" and I
just stumbled upon this issue:
