At the ASF even a beta release is a release which requires a vote.

One thing we can do is publishing CI builds to myget like Lucene.NET
does, and if anybody know how to do it I'm happy to accept help.

Setting this up needs more time that I had at my hands for the 2.0.6
release, though.  For this I really ask people to give the test builds
at  a try.

The beta can be retrieved from here:

http://stefan.samaflost.de/staging/log4net-2.0.6/

Please use those assemblies if you want to do any tests right now.
