I do know that the plank is always marginally shorter than the alcove
you're trying to build shelves into...

Sorry, I saw the word "Quantum" and gave up trying to understand your email.

:-)

Actually, on a related, but wildly off-topic matter, does anyone know if
there's any known relationship between the Plank length and c?

I've seen it, heck I even missed the first few minutes -- what's the biggie?

He uses his oratory skills to make you *think* it's awfully impressive & hard
(it certainly is cute).

The Module isn't the problem, it's the Lecture... :-)

What is the big deal with this lecture? There isn't that much weirdness --
it's just parallelising comparisons. Just 'cos it has "Quantum" in it doesn't
make it hard. It's like this Pavlos dog reaction to the word "math"/"maths"
people seem to have. I wish someone would make an ice-cream called the
Quantum, that might help ease the tension.

Or a condom, yeah, a condom. "I knew you liked the hard stuff, baby, well
here it is, the Quantum."

Be sure to wrap your heads well so that when they explode you can find
all the pieces. ;-)

dha, sorry he can't make it... it might make sense the 3rd time

It's a fairly dorment group but it does exist. The web page has
details on how to join the mailing list.

Having seen him give this lecture last week at the Silicon Valley Perl
Mongers meeting, I can't stress how good a lecture it is. It's one of the
best I've ever been to. Mind you, does anyone need encouraging to go and see
Damian Conway talk?
