why don't you have the social meeting a day earlier so that everyone
can "work from home" with their hangovers the following day?

like the quotes on "work from home" - one of the great euphemisms of our time.

You mean hold a meeting that's not on a Thursday. Hmm... interesting
concept. I'm not sure that the rules cater for that possibility.

Let me think about. Might need an EGM this evening. Hope we're quorate.

Dunno, don't the strikes tend to start the evening before the day[1]? I'd
be wary of holding in any time round the 3rd.

I recommend public camels. Maybe now would be the time for a trip to the

Camels are quite hard to see at London Zoo at the moment, owing to the
foot 'n mouth situation. I was there a couple of weeks back, and the
heffalump house was shut. The penguins ain't bad, though.

Last time I saw penguins at a zoo, they shat everywhere and stank to

If we're going to a zoo, I want to see the giraffes.

So you recommend to piggyback a penguin (penguinback?) to get to the
meeting in time?

Yup- you can see them if they bother wandering outside of their own
accord. Stuck-up long-necked bastards that they are.

The okapi was much better (think giraffe crossed with zebra with a

Nope. All very respectable, sadly. No bonobos at all, and all the other
apes and monkeys were very well behaved.
They _did_ have some pygmy marmosets that were grooming each other, but
that was just cute rather than seedy.

Star of the whole place was the Slow Loris: koala, sloth, bushbaby type
thing. Very popular with female company.
