LPRng: Canon imageRunner 600 PDFs

2002-11-19 Thread Glenn Sieb
Has anyone else run into an issue where Acrobat Reader won't print to a Canon imageRunner 600 series copier? Their website complains that some printers don't have properly licensed PS on them, but we're printing to it as if it's a PCL printer. I'm just wondering if anyone has happened across

All of a sudden, with no changes (to my knowledge, or sight) LPRng has decided to croak on me Welp, the culprit was that someone in my dept had done a CVSup and make world on the box, which overwrote the lpd package from LPRng with the default. We've fixed it now, and it's all happy and

Does anyone have any experience getting these set up under LPRng? Normally, in /etc/printcap for regular lpr (below is our current working /etc/printcap on a non-LPRng'd machine), we'd tell it: (The first is for regular print jobs where the copier will actually remember the job for reprints

Hi everyone, I've just installed LPRng v3.5.3, and ifhp 3.4.7, on the road to getting our printers and Samba to all talk nicely together :) Our DesignJet 5000PS works just fine with LPRng, we get status and everything, using the generic PS driver (since we only print PS to that device, it
